Village Idiot Films is led by Will Burgass, a producer with over a decade of experience across commercials, branded content, and social campaigns.

Before starting Village Idiot, he co-founded Sliced Studio — a London-based production company built to deliver fast, culturally relevant work for agencies and brands. 

Over the past 12+ years, he’s worked across everything from TVCs to social-first campaigns, producing for brands including Vodafone, Guinness, Barclays and TikTok, and collaborating with agencies like Leo Burnett and M&C Saatchi.

He’s known for running calm, well-organised productions, keeping ideas intact from pitch through to post, and for being the person in the room willing to ask the obvious question everyone else is avoiding.

Which, depending on your perspective, is either experience or exactly how you end up calling your company Village Idiot.

The name isn’t an accident.

 

It’s a reminder that good ideas don’t come from consensus, and that being willing to look like the idiot in the room is often where the interesting stuff starts.
